Elvis Style Banana Bread

So who’s heard about Elvis’s favorite sandwich?! Peanut butter, banana, and bacon — YUP that’s right, all three in ONE! Now, this banana bread recipe does not have bacon in it — but maybe that’s an idea! 🙂 haha  For those of you who are frightened by these combinations, NO lie it’s awesome!  A lot of times growing up this was a go to meal.  Peanut butter and bacon was always my favorite sandwich. I remember when Josh and I were dating and I made him try it — he was floored at how tasty it was. 🙂 I’m pretty sure that was when he fell in love with me 😉  So here it is — a healthier Elvis style banana bread.


Elvis Style Banana Bread

 Prep Time: 10 minutes            Cook Time: 40 minutes            Total Time: 50 minutes


  • 2 ripe, mashed bananas
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp honey
  • 3 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 Cup Almond Butter
  • 3 1/2 Tbsp Butter, melted
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 Cup Coconut Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Almond Flour/Meal
  • 3/4 tsp Baking soda
  • Chocolate Chips **Optional
 How To:
1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2) Mix all wet ingredients together
3) Add all dry ingredients and mix well
4) Spray a bread pan and pour the batter in — add chocolate chips on top if you choose to do so 🙂

5) Bake for 40 minutes or until golden on top and ENJOY!
